Trailer
Why watch this film?
The X-Men send Wolverine to the past in a desperate effort to change history and prevent an event that results in doom for both humans and mutants.
"Adapting, albeit with several poetic liberties, the famous 1980s comic arc from the team of Chris Claremont and John Byrne, the movie follows a dark future dominated by Sentinels, robots that hunt mutants, bringing together Professor X and Magneto under one common goal: sending Wolverine to the 1970s and preventing the assassination of Bolivar Trask, the inventor of the Sentinels. Such chronological interference changed the timeline of the mutants from that decade - not only erasing the events of 'X-Men: The Last Stand', but also allowing for new stories to be created. Direction was once again handled by Bryan Singer, who also brought back the original trilogy cast for the scenes set in the future. The result is a highly effective film that combines the best elements of both X-Men phases to construct an exciting story."
