"Directed by British musician Jaymes Samuel (brother of singer Seal) and produced by fellow musician Jay-Z, 'The Harder They Fall' is exactly what the title suggests: a movie about revenge, violence, and retribution. In the story, we follow a man (Jonathan Majors, from the series 'Loki') seeking revenge for the brutal murder of his family when he was very young. With an exquisite aesthetic and diving into a "black western" story, as some specialized critics call it, there are Quentin Tarantino vibes in this plot easily comparable to 'Django Unchained' and the like. Highlight, in addition to Idris Elba as the villain and Majors as this man with an irreparable thirst for revenge, to the always reliable Regina King (Oscar winner for 'If Beale Street Could Talk'), as an implacable henchman, and to Delroy Lindo -- perhaps the most striking figure of the feature film."
