The Candyman, a murderous soul with a hook for a hand, is accidentally summoned to reality by a skeptic grad student researching the monster's myth.
"Movie that follows the same path as 'Hellraiser', blending slasher elements with supernatural characters, 'Candyman' certainly left its mark in many people's memories. After all, the feature film tells the story of a ghost (the Candyman himself, played by Tony Todd) who appears to people when his name is spoken five times in front of a mirror - just like the Bathroom Blonde. From there, we follow the journey of a researcher (Virginia Madsen) of urban myths and folklore who gets involved with the dangers and violence of this creature. Shocking scenes with bees (which were actually used in the scenes, resulting in dozens of stings) and bloody deaths with Candyman's hook in hand set the tone of the production, which does not stray from its B-movie horror character."
