A skilled lawman must break his own rule to survive in the Wild West.
Why watch this film?
Wyatt Earp is one of the best lawman in the West and a first-rate gunfighter who lives under a motto: never, ever shoot first. But even a good man learns that sometimes, rules have to be broken to survive.
"Don't be fooled: 'Wyatt Earp Shoots First' is a movie full of problems, and that justifies the very low rating on opinion aggregator sites like IMDb. It's a western without identity, with a somewhat messy story and even more lost actors on screen. However, this is one of those movies that, despite so many negative points, still has attributes to be considered. After all, director and screenwriter Christopher Forbes, in fits and starts, creates a magnetic narrative out of the curiosity of telling the story of a cowboy who doesn't like to shoot first. He prefers justice. It's a strange movie in strange times, which takes advantage of this weirdness and its problems to create its own charm and, who knows, find western fans willing to give a chance to the story of Wyatt Earp, the most just man of the old west."
