    "Angelina Jolie embodies the great video game heroine in 'Lara Croft: Tomb Raider', one of the biggest box office successes with a female lead in an action movie. Jolie, who was on a roll with 'The Bone Collector' and 'Girl Interrupted', fit the role perfectly, creating an intriguing and powerful character. Also noteworthy is Jon Voight, the actress's father, who plays the role of... Lara Croft's father in the story. The feature works very well as entertainment, so much so that it spawned a sequel, 'Tomb Raider: The Origin of Life'. However, it should be said: those looking for a story completely related to the video games may be disappointed. After all, director Simon West (of 'Con Air') gave his vision of the plot, which takes on more 'Indiana Jones'-like traits."
